I looked at several of the hard plastic and rubber casings for my MacBook Pro. I was not happy with any of them. Then I found this leather one on Amazon. At first I was skeptical that is was want I was picturing in my head. But I took the chance and ordered it anyway.
I am quite pleased with this cover. It has a suede leather finish on the inside to prevent the Aluminum from getting scratched up. Then it has a hard plastic shell to hold it in to shape and to hold it together. Then it has a layer of leather over the plastic shell. Not only does this thing look and feel great, it is good at keeping it so it does not cook you lap when using on your lap. This also leads me to my primary concern that it will hold in the heat when MacBook gets over heated.
So far I have not had any problems with andy heat issues. I live in Vermont and I got it at the beginning of fall so lets see what happens next summer. In a hotter environment it might lead to an overheating issue or if it is left on for hours at a time. It also slightly blocks the air vents at the hinge of the screen that other people have comment about. When it is opened. it scissors closed and buts off the air flow. Basically this is not an issue since the internal fan kicks in and makes a lot of sound and this can tell me that I would need to pop off the cover if this ever happens, so far it has not.
Overall I am quite happy with this cover.

As a very over protective mac book pro owner, I wanted a case to fit around my macbook for around the house. This definitely fits the bill.
I was ready to pay twice as much for a plastic case when I stumbled on this beauty. Figuring that it was a good buy for the price, I tried it. I'm really happy with it.
It fits snugly on my macbook pro, doesn't require any special tools to put on or take off. It stays on well, and doesn't come off unless I actively remove it.
The lining of the case is a soft wool-like material and hasn't scratched my computer at all. (scratches from the case was a big complaint about plastic ones). The leather outer looks nice and is good quality, doesn't scratch easily and wipes clean. Great case for the money... everything I wanted at a better price.
Please note, this will only fit the 13" UNIBODY MacBook Pro. (Released by Apple in summer 2009)

B. Russell Looks Great and Protects my Computer
I bought this for the MacBook Pro that I purchased for school because I wanted to protect my investment. So far, it has worked perfectly. I also love the way it looks. It makes it stand out from all the other Macs and helps me identify it as mine. Also, the price is an awesome value. It's cheaper than most hard shells. It fit my computer nicely and snapped on easily.

orangekay ( San Francisco, CA United States ) Didn't fit at all
Can't tell you if something was wrong with the one I received, or if it just wasn't made for the newest of the new 13" MacBooks, but once attached it prevented my lid from closing well enough to magnetically latch. That makes it just about useless in my book.
