This comprehensive AppleCare Protection Plan covers your MacBook Air/MacBook, as well as an AirPort Extreme Card, an AirPort Express or AirPort Extreme Base Station, and Apple RAM purchased for it. I am blown away
I am blown away. 34 months into my 36 month AppleCare I brought in my Macbook to have the iSight checked out. They fixed the iSight. And replaced the keyboard, trackpad, and keyboard and screen bezels. And got the screen cleaner than I imagined possible. It really looks like a beautiful brand new computer. Add this on to the replacement battery and power supply I've got in previous years and it was worth every cent.

And with Snow Leopard it runs as well or better than when I first purchased it. When I compare this to my two prior laptops (a Compaq and a Toshiba) which were next to useless after three years with a whole range of hardware, software and durability, I am even more pleased with my MacBook.

I purchased this protection for my new MacBook Air, after repeating my purchase conformation to apple I finally received my AppleCare Protection Plan certificate. I purchased a 3 year plan but the certificate ends in 2012. Since I purchased the laptop
apple gives a one year warranty this runs through 2010, AppleCare should run through 2013, right???

Works fine for me
Like the ad for the credit card company, "I wouldn't leave home without it..." And for both reasons. Firstly, like insurance I feel comfortable knowing that whatever happens, I can rely on the best service backup I have ever experienced. Secondly, it is similarly comforting to know that I can get advice lickety-split anywhere in North America, and know that I will be back in operation quickly. All in all, I consider AppleCare for a laptop tobe a requisite.
